Aisha Tyler's talent and versatility have sparked her rapid ascent in Hollywood. Her hot-streak stint at the head of E! Entertainment's Talk Soup landed her firmly in the Hollywood spotlight and revitalized the Emmy-winning show, which she was the first woman and African-American to captain. After leaving Talk Soup, Aisha moved quickly into television and film roles, enjoying another first - the first African-American to play an extended character arc on NBC's Friends. She co-starred with Jennifer Love Hewitt in the CBS hit Ghost Whisperer, had recurring roles on two of television's top dramas--CSI and 24, and has made numerous appearances on shows, including, Nip/Tuck, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Reno 911, The Boondocksand more. She is currently voicing the character of sexy, superspy Lana Kane on FX's new hit, animated series "Archer," which debuted in January 2010, as the highest rated new show in FX history.
In 2009, Aisha returned to her stand-up comedy roots, starring in a hilarious one-hour special for Comedy Central, "Aisha Tyler is Lit: Live at the Fillmore." The special is now a DVD available everywhere, that includes additional, behind-the-scenes footage and a music video she wrote and stars in-the rap video spoof "Noassitall." Aisha has used her trademark wit in multiple appearances on The Tonight Show, Late Night with David Letterman, The Today Show, Politically Incorrect, Jimmy Kimmel Live, and The Late Late Show and more.
Aisha has had roles in Adam Sandler's hit, Bedtime Stories, the crime drama "Death Sentence" opposite Kevin Bacon and the Universal comedy "Balls of Fury," with Christopher Walken. She completed filming "Black Water Transit," a film set in New Orleans in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, directed by iconic Brit Tony Kaye and starring Lawrence Fishburn. Aisha also had roles in ".45," opposite Milla Jovovich, and "Santa Clause III" with Tim Allen.
Aisha is a celebrated author, having released the successful "Swerve: Reckless Observations of a Post-Modern Girl" in 2004. A collection of hilarious comic essays on pop-culture, the book has been praised for its frank and funny look at what it's like to be a girl. Aisha is also a frequent contributor to Glamour Magazine, for which she has written pieces about the media's unrealistic portrayal of feminine beauty.
Aisha has many additional interests. An avid video game player, she was named to the exclusive seven-member Halo game counsel. She does a substantial amount of charitable work, as well, acting as a spokesperson for the American Red Cross, teaching Dove self-esteem workshops for teenage girls, consulting with the Trust for Public Land's Parks for People project, and fund-raising for Doctors Without Borders, the Family Violence Prevention Fund and the International Rescue Committee. She's also the reigning Celebrity Jeopardy champ.
Critical acclaim for Aisha has been effusive. Esquire called Aisha "sweetly wicked," designating her one of its "Women We Love". TV Guide called her one of television's "In Crowd." Maxim anointed her one of its "Hot 100" two years in a row.

Carlos Mencia, superstar/stand-up comedian, is undoubtedly one of today's most lauded entertainers and feared comics. Whether it is man-on-the-street interviews, studio comedy, commercial parodies, or nationwide sold-out tours, Mencia demonstrates an extraordinary ability to connect with a diverse audience. Carlos connected again with a film audience with the recent Fox Searchlight feature release "Our Family Wedding," starring opposite Forrest Whitaker and America Ferrara, Carlos stars in this clash-of-cultures comedy about two overbearing dads. The film will be released on DVD on July 13th, 2010. Mencia is also planning a return to television, confirming a pilot deal with ABC for his own sitcom.
Mencia was born in San Pedro Sula, Honduras, the 17th of 18 children. His parents sent Mencia to the United States when he was about three months old, where he was raised in Maravilla Projects in Los Angeles, California by his aunt and uncle. In his early teens, Mencia moved back to Honduras because his family wanted him to avoid the destructive gang culture of East Los Angeles. When Mencia later returned to Los Angeles, he showed such educational prowess that he was immediately promoted to the tenth grade.
Mencia began his career doing stand-up on amateur night at the comedy club, Laugh Factory. He later showcased at The Comedy Store and became a regular, performing nightly. After he found success on the L.A comedy circuit, Mencia was named "International Comedy Grand Champion" from Buscando Estrellas (the Latino version of Star Search). This led to appearances on "In Living Color," "The Arsenio Hall Show," "Moesha" and "An Evening at the Improv." In 1994, he hosted the HBO comedy series "Loco Slam" and in 1998 he hosted "Funny is Funny!" on Galavision. Mencia released a comedy album in 2000 called "Take a Joke, America" that showcased his brand of confrontational humor.
Mencia continued his journey up the comedy ladder by headlining "The Three Amigos" tour with Freddy Soto and Pablo Francisco in 2002, which sold out in record time around the United States. He was also featured in the independent films, "Outta Time" and "29 Palms" and starred in guest spots on "The Shield" and "The Bernie Mac Show," among others. In 2002, he received a CableACE Award nomination for Best Stand-Up Comedy Special for his HBO special. That same year, Mencia was featured on "Comedy Central Presents." Mencia remained busy and after the success of his solo dvd, "Carlos Mencia: Not For The Easily Offended," "Mind of Mencia" went into development. The show was an instant hit and after the first season, Comedy Central signed Mencia back for his own original stand-up special, "Carlos Mencia: No Strings Attached." The special was the first Comedy Central Stand-up Special DVD to achieve Platinum sales status.
"Mind of Mencia" debuted on Comedy Central in early 2005. Wrapping five seasons later, the show was one of the strongest shows in the network's history.
In the summer of 2007, Mencia starred opposite Ben Stiller and Michelle Monaghan in the Farrelly Brothers' hit feature film, "The Heartbreak Kid" (DreamWorks). In the fall of 2007, Mencia headlined a nationwide comedy tour titled "Carlos Mencia Live Presented by Bud Light." The highly anticipated tour brought Mencia face-to-face with his fans from September 2007 through December 2007. In December 2007, Mencia embarked on his first USO Tour to the Persian Gulf where he entertained the troops serving over seas. Mencia recently returned from his second trip to Kuwait after hosting "Operation Myspace," an exclusive concert for American Troops in the Middle East alongside Jessica Simpson and The Pussycat Dolls. The special aired on FX in April 2008. In addition, Mencia taped a new comedy special for Comedy Central, "Carlos Mencia: Performance Enhanced," that premiered in May 2008
That same year, Mencia kicked off his "At Close Range Tour " at Red Rock Amphitheatre in Colorado. Larger than all of his previous tours, Mencia performed in 80 cities across the country. This year, Mencia has embarked on The "Administration of Laughter Tour," addressing the presidency, the economy and many more topical issues.
